ahhh, saturday.

I’m currently sitting in the silence of my own home. I love a quiet house in the mornings. Yes, it’s nearly 9 am, so we should be up and at ’em but my husband is sleeping in, and so is our houseguest, our ol’ buddy Micah. We all stayed up too late with several other friends last night, laughing and talking and laughing some more.

I’m the lucky one who got to wake up earlier this morning to feed our whiny kitty 🙂 And since I was up, I thought I would enjoy how quiet everything is right now, watching the sun peek through the blinds in our dining room, seeing a bit of breeze blow through the leaves on our tree.

(Yes, you’d think I’d be sitting outside enjoying the “breeze” but even in the mornings, the Texas heat starts to get a bit unbearable. I think I’ll stick to air-conditioning inside, thankyouverymuch.)

Silence.

I love it.

But it’s time to do my devotional before the hours get away from me. And then, time to make a big brunch for the boys! Bacon, eggs, bread, fruit. The start of a fun-filled day. Hope your weekend is fun as well!
